A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A person’s chance of survival falls by about 10%* for each minute that passes without defibrillation. The risk of death can be reduced if you have a defibrillator in your workplace and know how to use it.
Every second matters and this half-day course will give you the confidence to act quickly and effectively. Most importantly, the course will also teach defibrillator operators how to perform effective CPR.
Why attend this course
AEDs (automated external defibrillators) are proven to save lives and are therefore an invaluable addition to health and safety provision for your employees. Once one is installed in your workplace, we highly recommend you train personnel in its usage.
Our course teaches the essential skills that an AED operator needs and gives students the confidence to know what to do in an emergency. Organisations that wish to train their staff in CPR and AED on their own premises can also add oxygen therapy to their workplace training package.
Who should attend this course
If you are interested in furthering your emergency first aid skills, or already take part in an organised first aid scheme, then this course would suit you.
